ERNIE is a 7-8 year old mellow guy who is good with big and small dogs. He was very stressed when first rescued but spent time with a trainer who said ERNIE is one of the nicest dogs she's had the pleasure to work with. He will need a dog savvy owner and enjoys hanging out in the yard until he's ready to come inside and be close to his people. He knows several commands - sit, stay, down, wait - and would do best in a home with other dogs and a very quiet environment. (being the only dog is also fine as long as he gets lots of human attention). We'd prefer him go to a home with no small children. ERNIE is neutered and ready for a loving family to spoil him forever!
